At Home Magazine Interviews Angela Schelp
With our base in Memphis, ESB makes it a priority to stay connected with the Bluff City community. At Home Memphis & Mid South magazine recently featured a profile on ESB founder Angela Schelp in their August issue. The publication has a 100-mile distribution radius in the Memphis area, along with a national subscription reach.
Angela discusses EBS’s early days and how she and husband/co-owner Richard grew the company since its inception in the 90’s, along with the benefits of running an international company out of Memphis and what they love most about the city. In addition, the article focuses on ESB’s new management division, which has taken it to a new level within the industry.
A major topic in the workforce today – and something a number of of our speakers tackle – is the ever-changing role of women in business today. Angela emphasizes this point in the article, as well, especially the importance of having confidence as a female executive, along with a strong network of like-minded women who understand the challenges and can build a support system.
When they’re not running one of the top speakers bureaus in the world, the Schelp’s enjoy giving back to the local Memphis community through their church and various charitable outlets in the area. This has long been an important part of their family life, including the couple’s four children.
Finally, Angela discusses the role ESB plays in cultivating partnerships through speaking engagements. “One event can actually plant a seed and develop relationships for years to come. We have seen so many examples where lives have been changed by a speaker’s message. At the end of the day, that is what it’s all about.”
