Tuesday Tip – Take Away’s are Key!
Take Away’s Are Key
As a speaker, it is important that you give your audience take away’s. The meeting planner wants to know your message was not just a 60 minute feel good talk that will be forgotten in a few days but something that will make a lasting impression on the audience.
It is best to give your audience a task to complete as soon as they get back to the office so they can apply what they learned. Below are a few examples:
1. An online questionnaire to write down goals and action items is a good way to get the ideas flowing.
2. Give them a card with bullet points to keep on their desk as a great reminder of your message.
3. Have them subscribe to your newsletter, blog and Twitter feed.
4. You can even offer a follow up webinar with Q&A so they can give feedback on how the implementation process is working.
Anything you can do to drive home the message and encourage the audience to put your ideas to work is very important and a great way to be hired back.
