Resilience Expert Jim Davidson Now Exclusively Represented by Executive Speakers Bureau
Resilience Keynote Speaker Jim Davidson
Executive Speakers Bureau is proud to announce its exclusive representation of resilience expert, Jim Davidson, for all keynote speaking engagements.
Jim Davidson shares motivating keynotes and workshops on personal resilience, resilient teamwork, and resilient leadership. Jim’s story of resilience began in 1992, when a snowbridge suddenly collapsed during a climb of Mount Rainier, dropping Jim and his friend into a hidden crevasse deep inside the glacier. Sadly, Jim’s friend did not survive the fall, and Jim had to find a way up the dangerous ice wall… alone. In his keynote presentations, Jim shares a story of determination against all odds and a lesson in how to overcome adversity when it seems there’s no way out.
Despite this terrifying experience, Jim continued to climb in honor of his friend. While first attempting to ascend Mt. Everest in 2015, Jim and his partners survived massive earthquakes and avalanches. He shared his incredible experiences and insights with CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, Smithsonian Channel, PBS and more. Jim returned to Everest in 2017 and summited safely.
For 36 years, Jim has scaled high peaks from Argentina to Nepal, from Bolivia to Tibet. The US National Park Service has commended Jim twice for volunteering for successful high-altitude rescues in Colorado and Alaska. Jim co-authored the New York Times best-selling survival memoir, The Ledge: An Inspirational Story of Friendship and Survival, which won the National Outdoor Book Award for Outdoor Literature and was picked as one of the Best Books of the Year by Amazon. His epic survival story was featured in an international TV episode of “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” on the Discovery Channel. From his 36 years of adventure and survival, Jim distills compelling stories and uplifting lessons about how to overcome change, challenge, and uncertainty through resilience.
